Deep-fried brie is sensational as a starter or a snack. Hot melted cheese in a crispy coat of breadcrumbs, it's easy and quick to make, and it tastes delicious.

Cut the cheese into 6 triangular wedges. Dip each one in the seasoned flour, then coat with beaten egg and cover with breadcrumbs. To make the crumb coating extra crunchy, coat with egg and breadcrumbs a second time. Make sure you coat the wedge fully, otherwise the cheese could leak out.
Heat a pan of vegetable oil to 180°C (356°F). Gently lower the wedges into the oil and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown and have floated to the top of the oil.
Serve with cranberry jelly or fig jam as a dip. Delicious!
